It’s forever growth season at Idea Hive as the business chats the course towards VISION 2025.

Idea Hive – an innovative performance marketing agency, continues on its expansion journey as it strives towards being one of the leading go-to agencies in South Africa and the rest of Africa. The business has recently made some strategic organisational structural changes and expanded its service offerings into East Africa.

The organisation has managed to carve a niche for itself in the cut-throat advertising industry over the last seven years. The new business reconfiguration will see the business better positioned towards a path of competitiveness and sustainable growth led by a phenomenal team.

Effective 1st  August 2022, Idea Hive will be reconfigured to pilot the achievement of their 2025 VISION while also setting an enabling platform to properly service Idea Hive East Africa. To this end,  Idea Hive now has two main business units: Customer Experience and Operations.

  • Customer Experience (research & development hub) is tasked with delivering on its value chain, which entails Analytics, Brand & Consumer Strategy, CRM, Insights, Precision Marketing, and Innovation. This unit will be headed by Muzi Mthombeni, Chief Customer Experience Officer.
  • Operations will represent the heart of the business and focus on Idea Hive’s growth ambitions. It is an amalgamation of Audience Management, Client Services, Creative, and Growth. This unit will be headed by Sizwe ‘ Scoop’ Simelane as the Chief Operating Officer supported by Zama Nxumalo, Executive Creative Director.

The expansion into East Africa sees Idea Hive drive their market penetration and growth efforts in Kenya effectively. The East African Operations will be led by newly appointed Managing Director, Muriuki Murunge. “Over the last few months, we have had an opportunity to fully dissect our business through various prisms, notably clients, consumers, partners, and market positioning which has given us the confidence to expand into East Africa,” said Yaw Dwomoh, CEO of Idea Hive.

Muriuki Murunge is a social intelligence marketer and brand communications expert who has worked on a number of prominent campaigns. He has extensive knowledge of the digital marketing landscape in East Africa through his work on both local and international iconic brands.

“In my years of experience, I have realised that many people often make the mistake of landing a new career in the wrong company as their personal values are not aligned with the business’s value system. I am very excited to be joining Idea Hive not only because of their clearly defined vision and set of goals but mainly because they know where they are going, why and how they are going to get there”, said Murunge.

This strategic expansion and reconfiguration blueprint is set to aggressively position Idea Hive as one of the leading go-to agencies for Customer Experience, Insights, and Content Development within South Africa and other markets in Sub- Saharan Africa.
